Gotabaya Rajapakse to the Presidential commission for investigating large scale fraud and corruption

Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has been re-summoned to the Presidential Special Commission today.
The Commission which probes allegations including improper use of Government funds and large scale financial irregularities had held a lengthy investigation in connection with the former defence secretary.
The Commission said that complaints had been lodged against the former defence secretary with regard to three offences including deploying of 500 employees of the Company Ratnaalankaa for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s election campaign and renting out the weapons of that company.
