Opposition leaders to share stage with former President

Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga is to share stage with several opposition leaders tomorrow (July 24) at a seminar held under the theme of why executive presidency should be abolished.
Opposition party leaders such as UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, TNA leader R. Sampanthan, JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Democratic Party leader Sarath Fonseka are to join the event which will be held at the New Town Hall in Colombo at 4.00pm.
Media spokesman of the National Movement for a Just Society, Ravi Jayawardena stated that all the above had confirmed their participation for the seminar.
The seminar organised by the Movement, is being chaired by Ven. Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera. According to Ravi Jayawardena, UNP leadership council members including MP Karu Jayasuriya would be attending the event.
