A special investigation about sale of liquor at the Wadduwa Army holiday resort


The Military Police has launched an investigation into the sale of Liquor reportedly at the Wadduwa Army Holiday Resort.

The excise department raided the holiday resort and recovered liquor worth 1 million rupees and arrested 2 suspects.

Issuing a communiqué the Army said the Army Chief has further instructed relevant authorities to deal severely with wrong doers, irrespective of their rank or status, following Military Police findings and take all disciplinary action against everyone, involved in any such unlawful act according to military law.

The Wadduwa Army Holiday Resort was established in 1991 and was recently re-branded as the 'Laya Beach'.
