Sigiriya girl released

The girl who was serving a jail term on charges of damaging the Sigiriya Mirror Wall using a hairpin was released from Anuradhapura Prison today after Presidential pardon.
The girl was charged with causing damage to the Mirror Wall at Sigiriya and was penalized to two years’ imprisonment by Dambulla Magistrate Sanjeewa Ramyakumara on March 2.
The girl had visited Sigiriya along with some friends and scribbled her name on the Mirror Wall using a hairpin.
