Another contingent leaves to Nepal


Another large consignment of medicines dressing items, medical equipment, drinking water bottles, dry rations etc, are set to take wings to Nepal aboard the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) aircraft, at around 12.30 p.m. today (29).

Army Media Spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera stated that another segment of the rescue and relief contingent of eighty-nine Army personnel including four civil medical consultants, along with Naval personnel attached to Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) will leave for Nepal this afternoon on directives of the President and the support of the Hon. Prime Minister.
