Ali Roshan's father held an elephant calf illegally

The wildlife department officials took into custody an elephant calf believed to be kept by Ali Roshan’s father S. Nandadasa in the Oruwala Steel Corporation premises.
Ali Roshan is already in remand in connection with keeping wild elephant calves illegally.
When the wildlife officials inspected the Steel Corporation premises last night, two elephant were kept in the corporation premises.
Assistant Director in charge of Western Provincial Zone of the Wildlife department Upul Indrajith told our news team that the relevant documents and other data provided by the suspect were contradictory.
He further said that the 30 year old elephant found in the same premises revealed to be kept by a former MP Chandana Kathri Arachchi.
