3rd stage of discussions on Indo-Lanka fishermen's issue ready

Indo – Sri Lanka talks which was stalled for nearly 1 year, will be held on the 24th and 25th of this month in Chennai, India.
According to Home Affairs and Fisheries Ministry, 10 representatives from local fishing committees will attend these talks.
In addition, 6 officers representing Fisheries Ministry and Fisheries Department will also attend as monitoring officers.
The last round of talks was held in May 2014.
The Sri Lankan delegates who will attend the upcoming talks will leave the country on the 23rd of this month.
Tamil Nadu provincial government has informed the Indian Central Government that the Fisheries talks will be held on the 24th and 25th in Chennai.
State Minister of Fisheries Dilip Wedaarachchi said that, the bilateral fisheries issue was brought to light during Indian Premier’s Sri Lankan tour.
In addition, the state minister added that this would be the maiden bilateral fisheries talks held under the new regime.
