England's defeat against Sri Lanka in the fourth one-day international was compounded by the news that they had been fined for a slow over rate for the second successive match.
The tourists were penalised after the third ODI – which they won – resulting in a one-match suspension for Alastair Cook, the captain.
Eoin Morgan led the team in Cook's absence in the fourth ODI but again the bowlers fell foul of International Cricket Council regulations, and one more transgression as a captain in one-day cricket will lead to Morgan also receiving a ban.
