
FISHING IN THE WESTERN ARABIAN SEA CONTINUES TO BE DANGEROUS

The Department of Meteorology stated that fishing in the western Arabian Sea will continue to be dangerous.
The Department stated that the wind speed could increase up to 70 to 80 kmph in those sea areas and the sea could turn extremely rough.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at different times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Galle and Puttalam and the sea areas from Matara to Pottuvil can be rough from time to time.
The Department of Meteorology stated that intermittent showers or thundershowers will be experienced in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Northwestern provinces.
