Makandure Madush request for bail after 90 days

The counsel of organised criminal leader Makandure Madush in custody under detention orders has petitioned the Colombo Fort Magistrate court to release him on bail.

That was when the case in connection with the conspiracy to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was taken up for hearing.

On this occasion Madhush’s counsel said that his client continued to be detained at the CID for more than 90 days.

Makandure Madush who had been under custody in Dubai was arrested after he returned to the island on 5th May this year.
