The no confidence motion comprising of 12 factors filed by the JVP against the government including the prime minister is to be debated today.

The JVP points out that even though the government had officially received information regarding the suicide attacks which took place on Easter Sunday, in Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloe killing over 250 people and injuring nearly 500 people, resulting in large scale property damage, the government had acted ignorantly and in a senseless manner and therefore confidence has been lost in the premier and the government.

The parliament is to convene at 10.30 am today, and following verbal questions, the no confidence motion will be taken up for debate.
