The cabinet meeting is to be held this morning under the patronage of President Maithreepala Sirisena.
Minister Mano Ganeshan told our news team that the meeting is to be held at 9.30 am at the president’s office.
Usually the cabinet meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, however it was not held on the 11th of June.
During the last immediate cabinet meeting held, the president had noted that if the affairs of the parliamentary executive committee appointed to investigate into the Easter Sunday attacks take place aiming him, he will refrain from attending cabinet meetings.
However, Minister Mano Ganeshan noted that several ministers discussed regarding this issue with the president.
He added that the problem was also resolved.
Accordingly the cabinet meeting is to be held this morning as usual.
