Court orders calling for suicide bombers’ DNA reports.

The police last afternoon arrested the person who managed the financial transactions of Zahraan Hasheem considered the leader of the banned outfit National Thawheeth Jamaath.
It has been revealed that the suspect had held close a relationship with Zahraan.
Named Mohamed Aliyaar the suspect is 60 years old and resident at Mettaapalli Road in Kaattankudi.
Police media spokesman, SP Ruwan Gunasekera said that he was scheduled to be detained and questioned.
Meanwhile, yesterday the court ordered the CID to call for a D.N.A. report to determine the identity of Zahraan Hasheem and Mohamed Ibrahim Ahamed who carried out suicide bomb attacks at the Colombo Shangrila hotel.
Accordingly Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake ordered that their head samples be submitted and their D.N.A. report obtained.
For this purpose the Fort Magistrate ordered that Zahraan’s sister currently held in the Batticaloa prison be produced to the Colombo Court Forensic officer for obtaining a blood sample.
In addition the Colombo Fort Magistrate ordered that while detaining and questioning Mohamed Ibrahim Ilhaam Ahamed’s father and two other brothers and obtain blood samples of theirs as well.
