Minister Maarapana leaves for Dubai to discuss bringing down Madush

Foreign Minister Thilak Maarapana has left for the United Arab Emirates to discuss the possibilities of having gang leader Makandure Madush brought back to sri lanka.

Several ministry officials and senior police officers accompanied the minister.

it is reported that they have already met with UAE foreign minister, Dr Anwar Bin Mohamed.

Foreign media reported that President Maithripala Sirisena wrote to his  counterpart in the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zaid.

Meanwhile, more suspects,  including actor Ryan Vanrooyan who were arrested by Dubai police were deported and arrived back in sri lanka this morning .

On their arrival, the CID took the suspects into custody at Katunayake for questioning.

Ryan Vanrooyan,  Mohamed Washimdeen, Dimuthu Suranga, Suraj Kavinda and Kodikara Arachchige Charitha Padman were amongst that group of suspects.

Meanwhile, police media spokesman office said that at this stage 13 out of the 31 persons arrested by Dubai police have been deported back to sri lanka

vocalist Nadimal Perera, Anderson Ferdinandez, and Mohamed Siddiq have been released.

Lanka Sajith Perera was released on bail and was ordered to appear before Matara Magistrate today
