President can call for another Presidential election

The Supreme Court has informed President Mahinda Rajapaksa that he has no impediment to call for a Presidential election after completion of 4 years in his present position, and contest for a third term as well.
Leader of the house Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva disclosed this determination of the Supreme Court in parliament yesterday.
The minister said the Supreme Court has determined unanimously that there is no impediment for President Rajapaksa to contest again in a future presidential election.
