DIG Nalaka goes before the Government Analyst today

DIG Nalaka de Silva is scheduled to appear before the government analyst today according to the court order issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne yesterday.
the DIG was ordered to appear before the government analyst at 10 this morning to provide a recording sample of his voice.
The recording was to be submitted to assist with the investigation being conducted regarding telephone conversations that were had alleging that there was a conspiracy to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
Allegations had been levelled against former DIG of the Terrorism Investigations Division, Nalaka de Silva as a result of the disclosure made recently by Operations Director of the Anti-Corruption Task Force, Namal Kumara .
Meanwhile the Indian national arrested at the priate residence of Director Namal Kumara’s has been produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court.
Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne ordered that the Indian national undergo a physical and mental assessment at a clinic and that the report obtained from the clinic be submitted.
The CID informed court that permission has been granted from the defence secretary to have the Indian national retained and queried over a period of three months.
Chairman of the Sinhaley National organization Dan Priyasaad is scheduled to appear before the CID today.
