British rugby player dies in Colombo


A British rugby player who was touring Sri Lanka with a club team has died in a private hospital in Colombo due to a respiratory issue.
Police said another player is receiving treatment.
The deceased was a 26-year-old person, and he had arrived in Sri Lanka on 10th of this month, with a 22-member team.
They had played a friendly rugby match on Saturday and thereafter they had dinner at the same place.
It was revealed after arriving at their team hotel, few players have gone to a nightclub in Colpetty.
The deceased player and other player were hospitalized by the hotel management as they were suffering from respiratory issues.
