Democratic Party Leader Sarath Fonseka said that any decision to disenfranchise him was unconstitutional and that he will take this matter up at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
While adressing a media conference he said expressed “I have not served the full jail sentence. Therefore I can contest. It is unconstitutional to disenfranchise me. I will take legal action against the decision when the incumbent ruler was not in power,”.
