Japanese investments sought in auto, logistics sectors

Sri Lanka is eyeing Japanese investments in the sectors such as medical devices, automotive parts, mineral based products, and logistics and hub operations.
Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama, told a visiting Japanese investment delegation last week that the government is ready to facilitate investors those who want to get into these new investment segments.
“Minister said the government is willing to set up a dedicated industrial zone for export-oriented Japanese firms to do business in Sri Lanka, targeting the South Asian region and beyond.
