1st Test between India vs Sri Lanka ends in draw

Virat Kohli came back with a bang after getting out on a duck in the first innings of the 1st Test against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata with an unbeaten hundred to place in an India strong position on the fifth and final day of an exciting Test match.

The 29-year-old scored an unbeaten 104 as India declared their second innings at 352 for 8, which left Sri Lanka with an improbable 231 to chase in little over a session.

The target was out of reach but the Indian bowlers went full throttle, raising hopes of a victory by reducing Sri Lanka to 75 for 7 before umpires called off the play due to deteriorating light.

Therefore, the first Test between India and Sri Lanka ended in a draw.
