Top American companies from a wide variety of sectors showcased their products, technologies, and services in Sri Lanka at the U.S. Trade Show 2014 held yesterday at the Hilton Residences.
This year, the U.S. Trade Show focused on expanding the variety of American goods and services for local businesses and consumers.
Along with hundreds of visitors, U.S. Ambassador Michele J. Sison attended the one-day event, which was jointly organized by the U.S. Embassy and the American Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (AmCham).
Many of the American companies were major international brands, but the trade show also helped introduce some new American companies to smaller businesses in Sri Lanka as well.
Key sectors such as tourism, transportation, food and beverage, renewable energy, and power generation are areas where American companies provide high quality at a competitive cost. For these companies, U.S. Trade Show 2014 was an opportunity to highlight the excellent value-for-money that U.S. products and services provide, as well as expand their business contacts in Sri Lanka.
