40 Sri Lankan cricketers have handed over a written request to Sri Lanka Cricket, urging the local governing body to probe a recent statement made by former fast bowler Pramodya Wickremasinghe relating to the recent Indian tour.
During that tour, Sri Lanka lost all the games, (3 Tests, 5 ODI's and 1 T20).
Wickremasinghe made a number of revelations during an exclusive interview with 'Hiru' earlier this month.
He accused that there were a number of doubtful incidents in matches where Sri Lanka lost recently.
However, 40 cricketers had written to the SLC refuting the statement made by Wickremasinghe.
The players had told the SLC to have an impartial probe into those accusations and reveal the truth.
They say they would fully support an investigation.
When contacted, the SLC said the future course of action will be decided by the Executive Committee of the SLC.
