Sri Lankan reply is not sufficient; says UK

Britain says that Sri Lanka has failed to come up to the expectations in providing solutions to problems connected with the war.

 

Participating in the debate about Sri Lanka held in the British parliament, British Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Office State Minister Baroness Vaasi said that this had given rise to the need of an international probe.

 

On this occasion Liberal Democratic Party MP Baroness Brintin queried the State Minister with regard to the progress so far including the arrest of suspects in the Aluthgama incident.

 

Responding to the query British Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Office State Minister Baroness Vaasi stated that it welcomes the government’s investigations to arrest the relavant culprits.
