UB40 gig won't rule out summer friendly games at Brunton Park

A second major concert at football stadium Brunton Park will be held featuring the 80’s pop group UB40.

The Blues' stadium is hosting UB40 next June - a year after Rod Stewart played to a 16,000 crowd at the stadium.

Last summer's gig was among the factors that saw no summer friendlies at Carlisle's ground before the new campaign.

However, the UB40 concert is being held slightly earlier in the summer, on June 2nd, and it will not affect their ability to schedule home games in the build up to the 2017/18 campaign.
