
SL woman who was to be beheaded in Saudi Arabia returns

A Sri Lankan women who was accused of killing a nine-year-old child who was under her care in Saudi Arabia has returned to the island.
The 29-year-old resident of Galewela was working as a housemaid in the country. The child who was under her care has died in November 15, 2014 after chocking on a pacifier.
After serving a 10-year prison sentence, Saudi courts has ordered to behead her. However, following the intervention of Sri Lankan government she was released after imprisoning her for another one and half years.
She returned to the island yesterday.
