Six Indians detained at Mirihana detention camp over kidney trafficking have reportedly escaped

The Colombo Crimes Division informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya yesterday that the six Indians arrested over kidney trafficking that were being detained at the Mirihana detention camp had escaped.
According to the Colombo Crimes Division, the magistrate has issued warrants to arrest the suspects.
Immigration and Emigration Controller has been informed to arrest the suspects if they attempt to leave the country.
Earlier Indian national, Suresh Lakshman Kumar, considered to be the main suspect in the trafficking case had also escaped from the camp.
