Former Central Bank Governor returns to the island


Former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran has returned to the island following a private tour in Singapore. 

Arjuna Mahendran left for Singapore, before the COPE committee presented its report on Treasure Bonds incident in parliament. 

Expressing his views on the matter in parliament, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe noted that Arjuna Mahendran left for Singapore to attend a wedding ceremony. 

According to our airport correspondent, the former Central Bank Governor arrived in the island at 4.10PM in a Sri Lankan Airlines flight.
