Turkey's Erdogan: Islamic State suicide bomber who killed 50 at wedding party 'was between 12 and 14 years old'

A boy suicide bomber as young as 12 killed at least 51 people on the weekend when he blew himself up at a Turkish wedding party, in the deadliest of a series of terrorist atrocities to hit the country this year.

Authorities blamed the so-called Islamic State terrorist group for the attack on street revellers in the southern city of Gazientiep late on Saturday night.

"Initial evidence suggests it was a Daesh attack," Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president, said during a visit to Gaziantep after the attack. Daesh is an Arabic term for Isil.
