
Supply of crude oil from sea interrupted after Pipeline explodes

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says due to a pipeline of the buoy carrying fuel to the Muthurajawela fuel storage unit from sea has burst, fuel supply from it has been temporally halted.
Chairman & Managing Director of the corporation T.G Jayasinghe stated that the restoration process of the damaged line will be completed today.
The unloading of crude oil from a Singapore ship has also been halted.
However, the chairman of the corporation assured that there will be no fuel shortage due to the issue.
