Rangana Herath took five wickets to limit Pakistan to 244 for six in reply to Sri Lanka’s 320 on day two of the second Test in Colombo.
The left-arm spinner rattled Pakistan’s top order, reducing them to 140 for 5 before Sarfraz Ahmed and Asad Shafiq rallied the innings with a 93-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
Shafiq was dismissed for 42 two balls before stumps, giving Herath his 20th five-wicket haul.
