Joint Opposition hands over a letter to Inter-Parliamentary Union


The Joint Opposition handed over to Inter-Parliamentary Union General Secretary Martin chungong yesterday a letter pointing out the injustices it faces in the parliament.

The letter mentions seven instances of the alleged injustice including their group not being given the opposition leader post even though they form the largest number among opposition MPs, and the disregard they face in time allocation at parliamentary debates.

Joint Opposition MPs Dinesh Gunawardhanak, Dullas Alahapperuma, C. B. Ratnayake, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardhana, Mahindananda Aluthgamagey, Bandula Gunawardhana,Weerakumara Dissanayake and Udaya Gammanpila as well as MP Pavitraa Vanniaarachchi  have signed the above mentioned letter.
