English 1960 pop star Engelbert Humperdinck to give first concert in Egypt


Engelbert Humperdinck will give a concert at one of the ballroom halls of Cairo's Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel on 22nd May.

The Cairo concert was also announced on the singer's official website, as part of the long April and May series of concerts that the singer will perform predominantly in the USA and Canada.

Humperdinck (born Arnold George Dorsey in 1936) came to prominence in the 1960s with the hits Release Me and The Last Waltz, with his heydays extending into the 1970s.
