Sri Lanka's biggest religious festival ends today


The traditional Diya-kepeema ritual, a water cutting ceremony was held at the Mahaweli River in Getambe, Kandy, as a part of the Esala festival, today morning.
The Esala festival will be ended today after Chief Custodian of Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela inform the President that the Esala festival rituals concluded successfully.
The last Randoli perahera of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Esala festival in Kandy took place last night (August 10).
