Dhammika Ranathunga given strict warning against threatening journalists

The Port Authority Chairman Dhammika Ranatunga was released on two surety bails of one hundred thousand rupees each by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.
Ranatunga appeared before Court for threatening and reprimanding several journalists in the Court premises .
Releasing the suspect, Colombo chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya stated in open court that he can only imagine how the suspect may have reacted to issues within Port Authority premises, based on his behaviour at Court.
Having granted bail, the Magistrate ordered Ranatunga to give a statement to Keselwatta police.
He also ordered police to delete the photographs Ranatunga captured on the camera.
