10 million worth Babul meant for school children seized at Katunayaka

The Health Bureau of the Katunayake airport seized a stock of Babul mixed with intoxicants yesterday, which were imported to be sold to school children.
The raid was conducted following a tip received, stating that the stock of Babul has been imported from Maldives, India, Pakistan and Kuwait.
According to the Health Ministry, the value of the seized Babul is estimated to be nearly 10 million rupees.
Previously, imported Babul was discovered in several shops located near schools.
