Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg came to the mobile industry's annual conference ready to spread Facebook's idea of the future, one where friends chill out together over virtual reality using a super-fast network known as 5G — even in places like India that have given a cold shoulder to Facebook's free Internet services.

During an on-stage interview with journalist Jessi Hempel here at Mobile World Congress, Zuckerberg sought to draw a connection between faster Internet access and connecting the 4 billion people who don't have Internet access.
