Unemployed graduates head to Human Rights Commission today


The Unemployed Graduates’ Union says that it will lodge a complaint today at the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission against the dispersal of protesters by using tear gas when they were staging the protest in Fort on the 16th this month

demanding Government employment.

Unemployment Graduates’s Union convener Dhammika Munasinghe told our news team that their human rights had been violated in the dispersal.

Meanwhile this problem of the combined unemployed graduates’ was discussed also at the ‘Hiru  Article 14’ programme yesterday.During the programme Finance State Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardhana promised  that he was prepared to grant an opportunity for a discussion on the problem next Thursday.
