A 10-year-old boy was left hanging upside down from an overpass after the truck he was travelling in crashed in northern Israel.
The boy’s father was driving when the truck overturned and slid off the road onto a concrete beam, the Times of Israel reports.
The father was freed but the boy was left dangling 13 metres above the ground, wedged inside the truck’s cab.
Fire Department spokesman Shalom Levi said it was a complicated road accident.
“There were many forces at the scene and two cranes were deployed, and after working in very stormy conditions and very strong rain, we managed to rescue the child and transfer him for treatment by the MDA [ambulance service],” he said.
