Mahinda goes to Walikada to visit Yoshitha

Special protection is provided to the Colombo Remand prison where Yoshitha Rajapaksa is currently in remand custody.
Special protection is provided to prevent outside individual’s entering the Prison premises.
The Prisons Department says that Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the second son of Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was remanded along with 3 others arrested are detained in a separate cell.
Prisons Commissioner General H N C Danasingha stated that Kaveesha Dissanayaka who was also arrested along with them has however been admitted to the Prisons Hospital.
Yoshitha Rajapaksa and 4 others were ordered by the Kaduwela’s Magistrate’s Court to be remanded till the 11th of next month.
Kaduwela Chief Magistrate Dhammika Hemapala gave out this order after the FCID arrested the accused and produced them before Courts.
Yoshitha Rajapaksa was arrested over the use of State Assets for the promotion of the CSN channel and using undeclared funds for the commencement of the channel.
Meanwhile CSN chairman Rohan Weliwita, former CEO Nishantha Ranatunga and 2 other individuals were also arrested in connection with the case.
Prisons commissioner general H NC Danasingha stated that Yoshitha Rajapakse and the others are detained in one cell.
