Avant Gaurd Chairman appears before the Presidential Commission for the 1st time

The chairman of Avant Garde Security firm Nissanka Senadhipathi appeared before the Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry on Massive Fraud and Corruption this morning.
He was summoned to give a statement with regard to fraud and corruption alleged to be committed by Rakna Lanka Security Firm.
Senadhipathi was summoned before the commission on several occasions in the past however he failed to show up.
Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, former navy commanders Admiral Jayantha Perera and Admiral Jayanath Colombage and former additional secretary of the Defence Ministry Sujatha Jayarathna have reported to the Commission.
Meanwhile leader of Sri Lanka Labour Party A.S.P. Liyanage also appeared before the Special Presidential Commission this morning.
Liyanage was summoned before the Commission to obtain a statement with regard to his plan to hand over one of his properties at Rajagiriya - Peacock Palace worth 730 million rupees to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
