Allegations against an attempt to handover Avant Gaurd operations to foreign companies


The Organisation comprising of former avant guarde employees says that the navy commander was taking action to hand over Avant Garde Company’s weapon Control to foreign companies.

The Organisation’s convener Kamal Gamagey told a media briefing yesterday that an invisible hand was behind the move.

The convener of the Organisation of Avant Garde ex employees said that although both the Navy Commander and the Defence Secretary had given an assurance that they would not lose their employment at Avant Garde, they had not kept their word.

We inquired from Navy Commander Admiral R. C. Wijegunaratne about the charges made by the Organisation of Avant Garde ex employees.

The Navy Commander said that he could not respond to a statement by individuals other than a responsible person of Avant Garde.
