Postpone Ordinary level examination subjects due for tomorrow


Teacher unions request that the O/L examination on subjects scheduled for tomorrow be postponed  as various inconveniences could crop up as a result of the strike tomorrow.

Lanka Teachers’ Union general secretary Joseph Stalin said that this request had been submitted to the Examinations Commissioner in writing.

Although our news team tried to contact Examinations Commissioner W. M. N.J. Pushpakumar to query the situation, our team was not able to make contact.

A special discussion will be held today about steps to be taken if the strike has an impact on students sitting exams.

Education Minister Akila Viraaj Kaariyawasam told our news team that the discussion would be held with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the chair.

O/L examination on subjects on Fine Arts and several additional subjects are scheduled to be held tomorrow.
