The meteorology department states that due to a low level wind convergence over Sri Lanka, cloudy skies and showery weather is expected over south-western parts of the country.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle district.
Heavy falls more than 100 mili meters are also likely at some places.
These showers will spread to the Northwestern province too.
