Heated arguments over the budgetary allocations for the Education Ministry took place in parliament today as well.
Parliament convened today under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
Prior to the budget debate MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake made a statement regarding the budgetary allocation of 5.4 percent from the GDP for the education sector.
However the opposition claimed that the statistics announced by the Finance Minister is not tangible and transparent.
Joining the argument, MP Bandula Gunawardana said that no government can bear the allocation given for education sector by the budget 2016.
