Lanka needs localized identity in export sphere

President Maithripala Sirisena said the country should pay more attention to creating a more localized identity in terms of the goods it exports.

Speaking at the 13th annual sessions of the Sri Lanka Economic Associtation he said Sri Lanka’s placing in the international market is less than two percent.

The President stated that we should be concerned about some of the items that are imported since, most of them could be easily produced within the country with better quality.
