Two heroines, who made their debut opposite Salman Khan, are now doing a film together. Daisy Shah and Zarine Khan, who started off in girl-next-door roles in Jai Ho and Veer respectively, have undergone an image transformation in the bold erotic thriller Hate Story 3.
Daisy says, “Salman was the one who really pushed me to do the film. He said I should do this film because it is completely different from Jai Ho. I have pushed myself as an actor for this role because as an actor, one should be open to all kinds of roles. This is not a safe zone for me but I did it. In Jai Ho, I played a very simple girl next door but in this film you will very different shades of Daisy.”
Zarine Khan too agrees that “This role is completely different from whatever roles that I have played till today” but does not attribute the changeover to Salman Khan. Zarine says, “I don’t think Salman knew I was doing this film. I was quite sceptical when the director Vishal Pandya narrated the script. Over a period of time, we became good friends and I think he has great convincing powers.”
The film has a sensual love making scene between Zarine and Sharman Joshi but the actress shrugs, “We’re actors and this is part of our job. It’s mechanical.”
