Three lawyers file a complaint to human rights commission against the crime investigation department for the violation of human rights of “Kondaya”.
Three lawyers had file a complaint yesterday against the crime investigation department at the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission for the violation of human rights during investigations of Seya Sadewmi’s molestation case on behalf of the acquitted Dinesh Priyashantha alias “Kondaya”.
The complaint is filed requesting an inspection into the assaults and of few other reasons.
Lawyers stated that Dunesh Priyashantha had been assaulted for three days, after which he had been asked to sign the confession and upon refusing to do so he had been assaulted again.
Adding further lawyers cautioned that this could happen to anyone and there was no protection of the law could have given to Dunesh Priyashantha since throughout the proceedings he had been with the CID.
