MEP leader MP Dinesh Gunawardhana says that the current Government has both accepted and become the partner of the Geneva Resolutions that had been rejected under the Mahinda Rajapaksa Government several times.
The MP expressed these views while participating at a convention the combined Opposition had organized yesterday at the Colombo Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre themed “People’s Convention against the Hybrid War Crimes Judicial Proceeding that sacrifices the National Freedom”.
Expressing his views on this occasion NFF leader MP Wimal Weerawansa said that that through the US resolutions put forward at the Human Rights Commission an attempt was being made to prove the country guilty of war crimes that had not being committed.
