THREE CUSTOMS OFFICERS WERE ARRESTED WHILE ALLEGEDLY TAKING A BRIBE OF RS. 125 MILLION

Three customs officers including a Customs Superintendent were arrested by the Bribery sleuths today while they were accepting a bribe of 125 million rupees at Panchikawatta.
The Director General of the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe told our news team that the bribe was accepted in connection with a transaction for purchasing motor spare parts to the Sri Lanka Transport Board.
A Customs Superintendent and two Customs officers are among the arrested.
