Anuradhapura Cancer Hospital lacks basic facilities


Patients at the Anuradhapura Cancer Hospital faces inconveniences due to the lack of basic facilities.

The hospital ward has only30 beds although almost 65 patients come to take treatment daily.

The hospital records indicate ample proof that nearly 20000 patients from North Central Province come to take treatment to this hospital.

Anuradhapura Cancer Unit’s Specialist Dr. Thushari Hapuarachchi states patients from six districts including 48 Provincial Secretariats from North Central, North and North West Provinces seek treatment from this unit.

Nearly 1200 register at this unit yet the Cancer Unit’s situation is not deteriorated.
